My coaching experience: I have been playing and coaching volleyball pretty much my whole life. After high school, I joined the Penn State Women’s Volleyball team first as a manager and then as a volunteer assistant coach. After graduating I moved home and worked for the Philadelphia Starlings Volleyball Club. As a coach and director of the club I helped to expand the game of volleyball and bring volleyball to the inner city. Most recently I was a national level coach at a local club team.
My coaching philosophy is very important to me. Teams I coach focus on fundamental volleyball, defense-first mindset and effort. While these may seem to be simple or basic, our practices are extremely competitive and tailored to improving on every ball.
My best volleyball moment was probably winning my high school city championship, pride of Masterman High School 2000!
My life on sports: I’m an extremely competitive person and love watching and breaking down all different sports.
When I’m not coaching I’m trying to keep up with my two crazy kids and relaxing with my wonderful wife Emily!
